425 Ancient Artefacts Returned to Egypt From Emirati Ruler

The Egyptian General Authority for Veterinary Services has implemented new prerequisites to qualify for a license to own a dog, and are considering increasing the prices of the licenses through consulting veterinary directorates in Egypt’s governorates.

Dog owners will be required to put their dog through a mandatory check-up with a licensed vet. They must then submit an animal registration card, as well as proof of the dog’s vaccination against rabies. If applicants meet the criteria, the waiting period for the issuance of the license will be three days at most.

The pet owner will be required to attach the license to the dog’s collar, and it expires one year after the date of issuance.

Some believe that this a good step towards monitoring pet ownership in Egypt and ensuring the health and safety for pets and owners alike. How do you feel about these requirements? Let us know in the comments below.
