Egypt's Most Googled Films in 2025

Egyptians and cinema are a never-ending love story. In Egyptian households, it’s an unspoken rule to always have a film playing in the background—over dinner, during a lazy afternoon, or even in the middle of an uncles’ argument. We just love films.

And online… it’s no different. Google has released its list of the most searched topics over the past 12 months, and as expected, films made up a big part of it. So here’s the list of Egypt’s most searched films of 2025…

Siko Siko (2025) | Dir. Omar El Mohandes

Starring Essam Omar and Taha Desouky, 'Siko Siko' follows two cousins who inherit a large sum of money from their uncle—in the form of a massive truck filled with hash. Caught between selling it or refusing to deal with it altogether, they ultimately decide to launch an undercover drug-dealing “startup” disguised as a game. The film captured massive audience attention and landed at the top of Google’s most searched films in Egypt.

El Dashash (2025) | Dir. Sameh Abdelaziz

Marking Mohamed Saad’s comeback after a five-year hiatus, 'El Dashash' follows a nightclub owner who faces a life-altering crisis, pushing him to try to become a better version of himself.

Restart (2025) | Dir. Sara Wafiq

Starring Tamer Hosny and Hanna El Zahed, the film follows Mohamed, a simple mobile phone repair technician who dreams of marrying his aspiring social media influencer girlfriend, Afaf. Realising that money is the key to achieving their dream, they team up with their families in a chaotic pursuit of fame.

6 Days (2025) | Dir. Karim Shaaban

This romance drama follows two high school lovers, Youssef and Alia, who reunite after years of forced separation. Having each taken very different paths in life, fate ultimately brings them together again.

Meen Yesadak (2024) | Dir. Zena Abdelbaky

Despite being released in November 2024, 'Meen Yesadak' still made it onto Egypt’s most Googled films. The film marks Zena Abdelbaky’s debut and follows the story of a young, wealthy young girl who falls in love with a scammer and ends up helping him scam the rich to help the poor.
