Ahmad El Morsy has just won an award in recognition of his work as cinematographer on Blue Elephant 2.
Egyptian Director of Photography (DOP) Ahmad Al Morsy has just won the Arabian Cinema Award for Best Cinematography for his psychological thriller, 'The Blue Elephant 2: Dark Whispers'. We'll be straight with you all, we're fans of the man - Al Morsy was one of #CairoScene and ElFasla’s #19OF2019 last year – and it's quite something to see him add this award to his growing trophy shelf of cinematic achievements.
Al Morsy has been recognised for his work on the 2018 drama/thriller 'Torab El Mas' (Diamond Dust), the 2017 drama/mystery ‘Al Asleyeen’ (The Originals), and over 17 awards that he won both nationally and internationally since the beginning of his DOP career in 2001. He is currently a member of the Australian Cinematographers Society and the Canadian Society of Cinematographers, from which he has received a number of distinctions.
