Manassat Film Festival Opens Call for Egyptian Short Films
Selected entries will be screened at Manassat Film Festival's 10th Edition in May 2026.
Manassat, a Cairo-based platform for the cinematic arts, has issued an open call for short film submissions. Egyptian filmmakers aged 18 or older are invited to submit their short films to Manassat Film Festival's 10th Edition, which will take place from May 20th to 23rd at Zawya Cinema in Downtown Cairo.
To meet eligibility criteria, submitted films should be less than 30 minutes long. While submissions are free, the films must be produced no earlier than 2024, and and cannot already be publicly available online. Fiction, nonfiction, and experimental works are allowed, including animation and student films. Only one submission per category is allowed.
The deadline to submit is February 18th, 2026.
