Menna Shalaby & Hana El Zahed to Star in New Comedy 'Ninja Housewives'
'Ninja Housewives' follows two feuding sisters-in-law whose escalating family rivalry turns everyday tensions into a string of comic misunderstandings.
A new Egyptian comedy film, 'Ninja Housewives' ('Salayef El Ninja'), has been announced, starring Menna Shalaby and Hana El Zahed. Directed by Ahmed El Gendy, the film is an adaptation of the 2020 Turkish comedy 'Sisters-in-Law at War'.
The story follows two feuding sisters-in-law whose ongoing rivalry sparks a series of misunderstandings and comic situations. Shalaby plays the elder sister-in-law, whose reluctance to have children over fears it will affect her appearance and lifestyle creates friction within the family and sets the plot in motion.
Shalaby is an award-winning actress and El Zahed has established herself as one of Egypt's leading comedy stars. The cast also includes Khaled Kamal, Michelle Milad, Roshdy El Shamy and Hanan Soliman. The screenplay is written by Akram Mostafa, Sameh Gamal and Ahmed El Gendy, with production by Ahmed El Ganaeiny and Mohamed El Rashidi.
