National Museum Hosts International Museum Day Programme May 14th–16th
The programme introduces 'Design Your Journey', an AI experience that allows visitors to explore over 3,000 artefacts.
The National Museum of Saudi Arabia will host a three-day cultural programme from May 14th to 16th, marking this year’s International Museum Day under the theme 'Museums Unite a Divided World'.
Reflecting the museum’s focus on accessibility and dialogue, the programme brings together thinkers, artists, and specialists in open panel discussions exploring urgent cultural questions.
Highlights include sessions on language and living heritage, traditional architecture and identity, and the transmission of cultural meaning through performance. A student-led debate, 'Which is More Justified?', adds an open forum for contrasting perspectives on history and narrative.
The programme centres on inclusive cultural participation, featuring interactive workshops and performances for visitors of all ages. In line with Saudi Arabia’s Year of Artificial Intelligence, an AI-powered 'Design Your Journey' experience will also allow visitors to personalise their exploration of a collection spanning more than 3,000 archaeological and heritage artefacts.
Admission to the museum’s galleries and all International Museum Day activities will be free. For more details on the programme, visit the National Museum of Saudi Arabia’s official Instagram page.
