OSN+ Announces Its First Original Mini-Series ‘The Fashionista’
Shot entirely in Kuwait, this six-episode series showcases local talent in a humorous dive into social media fame.
OSN+ announced its first original drama-comedy mini-series, ‘The Fashionista’, set to debut exclusively on the streaming platform in early 2025.
Developed and produced by NCIG Studios, the six-episode series was filmed entirely in Kuwait. Created by Kuwaiti filmmaker Yousef Alqenae, the series features a powerhouse local cast, including Lulu Al Mulla, Jamal Al-Radhan, Huda Al-Khateeb, Salwa Khattab, Fay Fuad, Ascia and Bibi Alabdulmohsen.
Following the story of Maryam, played by Lulu Al Mulla, the show takes on the influencer phenomenon sweeping Kuwait and the Gulf region. Maryam, a self-help devotee, becomes an aspiring motivational influencer, and her seemingly noble quest to help others soon transforms into an obsession with fame. Viewers will be able to see friendship rivalries, surprise twists, and a relentless quest for stardom, all presented in 4K as part of the OSN+ Premium Plan.
‘The Fashionista’ follows the success of last year’s OSN+ Original Film, ‘Yellow Bus’, which premiered at the 2023 Toronto International Film Festival.
