Saudi Arabia has been named Guest of Honour at the Kuala Lumpur International Book Fair 2026, scheduled to take place from May 29th to June 7th at World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur.
The designation was confirmed through the official website of the fair, which lists Saudi Arabia as the guest country for the 43rd edition of the event alongside venue and programme details.
The fair programme is set to span multiple event spaces within World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur, including the Main Stage on Level 2, the ‘Dunia Buku’ stage in Dewan Merdeka, and the ‘Dunia Ilmu’ stage in Dewan Tun Razak 3.
The event will also include book launches, literary activities and publishing industry events throughout the exhibition period. Industry participation is additionally expected through the Asian Rights Fair, a business-matching platform connecting publishers and rights holders during the event.
The Kuala Lumpur International Book Fair is organised through the National Book Council of Malaysia, which serves as the fair’s permanent secretariat.
