VR Experience on Cleopatra to Premiere in Milan This November

A new virtual reality experience exploring the life of Queen Cleopatra is set to make its global premiere in Milan on November 1st, 2026, before travelling to Cairo and embarking on an international tour.

Titled 'Cleopatra: The Truth', the two-hour production was unveiled by archaeologist Zahi Hawass during a press conference at Palazzo Reale in Milan.

Developed in collaboration with archaeologist Kathleen Martinez, who leads excavations at Taposiris Magna in search of Cleopatra's tomb, the project aims to present the historical record of the Egyptian queen through an immersive virtual reality experience.

According to Hawass, the production explores Cleopatra's life and legacy while presenting her as a ruler and political strategist rather than solely a legendary historical figure.

Following its debut in Milan, the experience will be staged in Cairo before travelling to other cities worldwide.

The launch event was attended by diplomatic and media representatives, including Egypt's Consul General in Milan, Walid Othman, Global Ambassador of Tourist Guides Walid El Battoty, and nearly 150 journalists.
