Indie movie theatre platform Wadi Cinema is headed to Riyadh’s JAX District from February 5th to the 8th, where they’ll be organising a regional and international films program.

Day one will see the screening of ‘The Straight Story’ (1999) at 6:30 PM, and classic David Lynch film ‘Eraserhead’ (1977) at 9 PM. Day two, meanwhile, will screen Egyptian film ‘Seeking Haven for Mr. Rambo’ (2024) at 7 PM, and ‘Bird’ (2024) at 10 PM.

After the screenings, live discussions will also commence, featuring the likes of ‘Seeking Haven for Mr. Rambo’ filmmaker Khaled Mansour. There will also be a debate spotlighting the cinematic impact of late American filmmaker, David Lynch.

This year marks Wadi Cinema’s second edition, having previously inaugurated in 2021 with screenings of ‘The Man Who Sold His Skin’ (2020), ‘The Unknown Saint’ (2019), ‘Looking for Oum Kulthum’ (2017), and more.
