Yves Gastou’s Men’s Rings Collection Debuts at L’ÉCOLE Middle

The ‘Men’s Rings, Yves Gastou Collection’ has opened at L’ÉCOLE Middle East, School of Jewelry Arts, in Dubai Design District. This first-of-its-kind exhibition in the region, running until April 26, 2025, features over 700 rings from the personal collection of the late Yves Gastou, a renowned French antique art dealer.

Timed to coincide with the 10th edition of Dubai Design Week, the exhibition delves into the evolution of men’s rings throughout history. Gastou’s collection, amassed over four decades, spans centuries and cultures, and is organised into five themes: History, Gothic, Christian Mysticism, Vanitas and Eclecticism.

The pieces range from 17th century Venetian doge rings and ancient Egyptian amulets to 1970s American biker designs and contemporary creations, showcasing the diversity and symbolism of men’s rings across eras and societies.

In addition to the exhibition, L’ÉCOLE Middle East offers guided tours, workshops, and demonstrations, including sessions for children. The school has also relaunched its jewellery courses, with new offerings such as ‘The Making of a Jewel’ and ‘Discovering the World of Gemstones’, catering to both beginners and seasoned collectors.

The exhibition is open from Tuesday to Saturday, from 10 AM to 7 PM.
