Bawabat Accelerator Launches to Help Omani Tech Startups Scale In KSA

ITHCA Group, the venture arm of Oman’s sovereign wealth fund, has signed a strategic investment agreement with Saudi Vision Venture Capital aimed at supporting start-ups in the sultanate and expanding their access to regional capital and expertise.

The agreement is intended to link Omani entrepreneurs more closely with Saudi Arabia’s investment ecosystem, providing exposure to Saudi Vision Venture Capital’s networks and experience in early-stage technology investments across the Middle East and North Africa.

ITHCA was established by the Oman Investment Authority and invests in start-ups through the ITHCA Fund. To date, the fund has executed 36 investments, with a focus on technology-driven sectors including artificial intelligence, financial technology, software, and digital services.

Saudi Vision Venture Capital is an early-stage investor that has backed a range of technology businesses across the region. Through the partnership, both parties aim to support the growth of Omani start-ups while strengthening cross-border collaboration between the Omani and Saudi venture ecosystems.
