EdVentures Named Global Investor of the Year at Malta's Startup Awards
The recognition follows earlier regional wins across MENA and Africa for the Nahdet Misr-backed venture capital firm.
EdVentures, the EdTech-focused corporate venture capital arm of Nahdet Misr Group, has been named “Global Investor of the Year” at the Global Startup Awards 2026.
The award was presented during the EU-Startups Summit held in Malta.
The recognition follows previous awards received by EdVentures as MENA Investor of the Year and Africa Investor of the Year, reflecting broader international attention toward Egypt’s startup and innovation ecosystem.
According to the company, the recognition also highlights increasing interest in investments tied to human capital development, future skills, and lifelong learning.
EdVentures focuses on investments in education technology startups and companies operating across learning, skills development, and digital education sectors.
The company stated that the award comes amid growing discussions around Egypt’s role within regional entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystems, particularly in sectors connected to education and workforce development.
EdVentures also said it is open to arranging interviews with Dalia Ibrahim, Founder and CEO of EdVentures and CEO of Nahdet Misr Publishing House, to discuss topics including human capital investment, future skills, and the evolution of EdTech in emerging markets.
