Egypt’s Intella Raises $12.5 Million to Grow Arabic AI Capabilities

Egyptian startup Intella, specialising in AI-powered voice technology, has raised $12.5 million in a funding round led by Wa’ed Ventures, Saudi Aramco’s venture capital arm, alongside other investors. This round builds on a previous $3.4 million pre-Series A raise, also backed by Wa’ed Ventures and Hala Ventures. Intella develops voice-enabled AI systems tailored to Arabic dialects, offering solutions such as speech-to-text transcription and advanced audio analytics. The new capital will support the expansion of Intella’s operations into Saudi Arabia and further development of its AI technology. Wa’ed Ventures, a $500 million VC fund focused on technology and innovation, has previously reserved $100 million for AI investments and supports regional startups in building scalable, localised solutions.
