Egypt's Rology Raises Growth Round to Expand AI-Powered Teleradiology

Rology, the AI-assisted teleradiology platform headquartered in Cairo, has closed a growth funding round — supported by major industry and impact investors including the Philips Foundation, Johnson & Johnson Impact Ventures, Sanofi Global Health Unit’s Impact Fund, and MIT Solve.

The platform enables zero-setup cost connectivity between hospitals and a network of over 200 radiologists, covering 12 radiology sub-specialties and 8 imaging modalities. Reports can be delivered within as little as 30 minutes, thanks to AI-assisted workflows.

To date, Rology has delivered over 1.3 million radiology reports and served more than 300 hospitals across 13 countries, claiming to have contributed to more than 1.2 million saved lives.

"AI-powered diagnostics have the potential to transform healthcare delivery in underserved regions," Jon Fairest, Head of Sanofi's Global Health Unit, said. "Rology's platform is the kind of scalable innovation we seek to support—bridging healthcare and diagnostic gaps across LMICs and underserved settings."

The new funding round will support several expansion plans: enhancing the platform’s AI-reporting tools, extending coverage into underserved and fragile regions, and scaling its reach in markets such as Saudi Arabia, Kenya and other parts of Africa.
