Egyptian Edtech 3C Coding School Raises $3M to Power Saudi Expansion

Egyptian edtech startup 3C Coding School has raised $3 million in seed funding to enter Saudi Arabia and build an AI‑personalised learning platform for children and young people, following growth to over 120,000 learners and a reported 230% revenue increase.

The round was led by MRG Economic Group, headed by Egyptian businessman Mahmoud Ramadan, with participation from investor Amr Saad and strategic angel investors, and will also strengthen the company’s technology infrastructure and product development.

Founded in 2015 by engineers Hossam Hosny and Ahmed Khallaf, 3C develops technology education programmes that combine coding with logical reasoning, problem‑solving and critical thinking through hands‑on, project‑based tracks tailored to different ages and levels. Its curriculum spans web and mobile development, data science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, game development and cybersecurity.

“When we launched 3C in 2015, we were driven by a core belief that technology would become an indispensable part of every child’s future,” Hosny said. “Coding isn’t just for future software engineers; it is a fundamental medium for teaching kids how to think, innovate, and solve complex problems.”

A significant portion of the capital will support 3C’s first regional expansion into Saudi Arabia, where the company plans to adapt its tracks to local requirements and build partnerships to grow its student and customer base. The company has identified the Kingdom as its primary market for regional expansion amid wider national investment in digital transformation, artificial intelligence and workforce development. 3C also intends to evolve from an Egypt‑focused provider into a regional EdTech platform operating across multiple markets.

Alongside market entry, 3C will invest in an AI‑powered personalised learning system designed to analyse individual progress, support instructors and dynamically adjust content to each learner’s pace and capabilities. The company said the financing marks a new phase after more than a decade building its programmes, with investors’ backing aimed at accelerating infrastructure, product improvements and the Saudi rollout.
