Egyptian Tech Startup Collard Launches Centralised Event Planning App
Egyptian startup Collard launches an event platform linking invites, RSVPs, tickets and payments in one system.
Egyptian startup Collard has launched a digital platform designed to consolidate event management and attendance into a single system, following two years of development and an investment of $700,000.
We’ve all been there—someone adds you to a WhatsApp group at midnight, and suddenly you are scrolling through flyers, voice notes, and dozens of messages about a guest list that keeps changing. You save a screenshot that might be your ticket and hope it works at the door. On the other side, organisers juggle tools, track RSVPs manually, and sort payments at 3 AM.
“One of the biggest problems in the event industry is that tickets and invitations have always been easy to copy, screenshot, or resell in uncontrolled ways, which creates fraud and chaos for organisers,” said Seif Abdel Latif, Founder and CEO of Collard.
Collard addresses this issue by issuing invitations directly within the app, with tickets tied to verified user profiles and generated through dynamic QR codes designed to prevent copying or unauthorised sharing.
For organisers, the platform provides a centralised dashboard that allows them to track invitations, manage attendance, process payments, and monitor event activity in real time. The system also collects data that can help organisers analyse attendance patterns and improve future events.
“By bringing everything into a single system, organisers can run events faster, with more control, while also gathering valuable data that helps them plan and improve future events,” Abdel Latif added.
The Collard app is currently available on both the Apple App Store and Google Play, with event creation and management also accessible through the company’s website.
