Mogo & Geidea Partner to Integrate POS Finance Solutions in Egypt

Consumer finance provider Mogo has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with electronic payments company Geidea to integrate point-of-sale technology with financing services for merchants across Egypt. The partnership combines Geidea’s smart POS terminals with Mogo’s instalment and consumer finance offerings, aiming to streamline checkout and improve payment flexibility for both retailers and customers.

Under the agreement, merchants using Geidea’s POS devices will be able to offer Mogo-backed financing and instalment options directly at the point of sale. The companies said the integration is designed to create a more secure and efficient payment experience while supporting the shift towards digital transactions in the Egyptian market.

Mogo said the partnership aligns with its wider strategy to expand digital financial services, increase flexibility for consumers, and strengthen collaboration with regional and international fintech players. Mahmoud El-Ghawass, CEO of Mogo, said the agreement is intended to enhance the efficiency of sales and payment operations while improving the overall customer experience.

Geidea said the collaboration supports the development of an end-to-end payment ecosystem for merchants by linking smart payment terminals with consumer finance solutions. Ahmed Magdy, Chief Commercial Officer at Geidea, said the partnership is expected to help merchants and consumers access more flexible financing options while contributing to the digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises.

The companies added that the initiative also supports broader financial inclusion efforts by widening access to digital payments and instalment-based purchasing, in line with national priorities to modernise Egypt’s financial infrastructure.
