Morocco to Host GITEX Africa 2026 From April 7th to 9th

The GITEX Africa Morocco 2026 will take place in Marrakech from April 7th to April 9th, bringing together technology leaders, governments, startups, and investors from across the continent to explore Africa’s evolving digital economy.

Hosted in Morocco, the summit aims to highlight the technologies shaping economic development across Africa while positioning the event as a platform for collaboration between innovators, policymakers, and global technology companies.

Organisers expect more than 55,000 attendees, alongside 1,500 global exhibitors and startups, and around 700 speakers participating in discussions and industry sessions. Delegates from 145 African and international countries are also expected to attend.

The event will feature sector-focused showcases spanning areas including data centres, fintech and the future of finance, future mobility, and sports technology. These platforms aim to highlight emerging industries and support connections between startups, investors, and technology companies.

More than 390 investors managing over $350 billion in assets are expected to participate, engaging with early-stage ventures and scaling startups across the exhibition and investment programmes.

The summit will also host an Investor and Matchmaking Program designed to facilitate one-on-one meetings between startups and investors through curated introductions and sector-specific deal flow opportunities.

Startups will be able to access mentorship and advisory support through the GITEX Africa Scale-Up Program, while the Talent Academy will focus on developing technical and business capabilities among participants.

A dedicated Diaspora Program will connect Africa’s global diaspora—estimated at around 170 million people—to opportunities within the continent’s $200 billion digital economy through networking and mentorship initiatives.

Participants will also have access to certified training sessions and workshops covering topics such as generative AI, data science, and blockchain development, alongside more than 20 live-action masterclasses taking place throughout the event.
