Remi Partners With UAE Exchange House IDE on Cross-Border Payments

Remi, a UAE-based cross-border payments technology network, has partnered with International Development Exchange (IDE), a currency exchange and remittance provider licensed by the Central Bank of the UAE, to expand cross-border payment and remittance services.

The agreement brings IDE onto the Remi Network as a regulated Network Operator, allowing the company to provide its licensed foreign exchange and remittance services through Remi's payment infrastructure.

The partnership combines Remi's payment routing and orchestration technology with IDE's more than two decades of experience in currency exchange and remittance services across Dubai and Sharjah. It also includes technical and operational integration between the two companies' systems while operating within the Central Bank of the UAE's regulatory framework.

Mohammad Ibrahim Abdelbari, general manager of IDE, said the collaboration would strengthen the company's ability to provide faster and more reliable cross-border payment services while maintaining high regulatory and compliance standards.

According to the companies, the partnership establishes a foundation for future growth across cross-border payments, remittances and financial technology services. Further details, including the rollout of specific services and launch timelines, will be announced as the onboarding process progresses.
