Saudi Proptech Ghanem Raises $1.5 Million Pre-Seed Extension

Saudi proptech startup Ghanem has raised a $1.5 million pre-seed extension, bringing its total pre-seed funding to $8.6 million. The round includes participation from real estate companies and angel investors and will support product development, new investment opportunities and partnerships.

Founded in 2025 by Saleh Waheed Al-Ghamdi and Amr Essam, Ghanem allows individuals and institutions to invest in income-generating real estate through fractional ownership, with investments starting from SR 1,000 depending on the property. The company says its user base has grown into the thousands following several completed property transactions.

For its first property investment through the app, Ghanem issued digital ownership deeds to 580 investors and has begun distributing rental income without payment delays. Its live integration with the Real Estate Registry records fractional stakes digitally and issues ownership deeds in each investor’s name.

Ghanem is operating within the Real Estate General Authority’s regulatory sandbox, where its fractional ownership product has been launched under supervision. Before properties are listed, the company says it conducts ownership checks, due diligence and valuations by accredited valuers, while its products have also received approval from its Sharia committee.
