Space42 Lands $7 Million Deal for Autonomous Mobility in the UAE
The agreement with South Korea’s Autonomous A2Z will bring Level-4 autonomous vehicles to the UAE, beginning with pilot robo-shuttle services.
Space42, a UAE-based AI-powered SpaceTech company, has signed a $7 million commercial agreement with South Korea's Autonomous A2Z to deploy Level-4 autonomous mobility solutions in the UAE.
The deal marks the first commercial agreement under the companies' broader partnership and is separate from the joint venture they announced in 2025 to support the long-term commercialisation of autonomous transport technologies.
The partnership combines Autonomous A2Z's Level-4 self-driving technology with Space42's artificial intelligence, geospatial and connectivity capabilities. The rollout will begin with pilot robo-shuttle services using A2Z's ROii autonomous vehicle platform, alongside other modified and retrofitted self-driving vehicles. The pilot programme will assess operational performance and passenger demand before expanding into demand-responsive transport and tourism shuttle services.

The project supports the UAE National Smart Mobility Strategy and builds on Space42's TXAI autonomous taxi service, which has completed more than 20,000 trips covering 600,000 kilometres since launching in 2021 without a recorded accident.
For Autonomous A2Z, the agreement represents one of its largest international deployments to date. The South Korean company has carried out autonomous driving trials across 13 cities and provinces, while its fleet of 91 permitted autonomous vehicles has accumulated more than 1.02 million kilometres of driving experience. The commercial rollout will be led by A2G (Autonomous to Global), Autonomous A2Z's Singapore-based joint venture with Kilsa Global, as the partners look to expand autonomous mobility services in the UAE and beyond.
