UAE's 2PointZero Group Acquires Stake in Health Tech Firm WHOOP

Abu Dhabi-based investment group 2PointZero Group PJSC has acquired an undisclosed stake in US human performance and health technology company Whoop through one of its subsidiaries.

Founded in 2012, Whoop operates a subscription-based wearable platform that provides continuous physiological monitoring and personalised health insights. The device tracks metrics including heart rate variability, sleep quality, respiratory rate and recovery levels, offering users data-driven coaching on performance and wellbeing.

The platform is widely used by professional athletes, military personnel and consumers focused on fitness and health optimisation.

2PointZero Group is a holding company backed by International Holding Company (IHC) and was formed last year through the merger of 2PointZero, Multiply Group and Ghitha Holding. The group focuses on building diversified investment portfolios across sectors including energy, mining and financial services.

Whoop has previously raised more than $400 million from investors including SoftBank Vision Fund, IVP and GP Bullhound. The latest investment introduces a new Middle Eastern strategic investor into the company’s shareholder base.
