Vertiv & Partners to Develop AI-Ready Infrastructure Across GCC
A new partnership aims to expand hyperscale data centre infrastructure in the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
Vertiv, a provider of critical digital infrastructure solutions, has signed a framework agreement with Dubai-based data centre developer Edge-Serve, Saudi construction and industrial contractor Integrated Roots Company Ltd. (IRCL), and the Saudi Electricity Project Development Company (PDC) to support the development of AI-ready infrastructure across the GCC.
The collaboration will focus on deploying converged physical infrastructure in high-growth markets, including the UAE and Saudi Arabia, as demand for AI and cloud-scale computing capacity continues to increase.
PDC is a subsidiary of Saudi Energy, the Kingdom's primary electricity provider. According to the companies, the agreement builds on an existing partnership between Vertiv and Edge-Serve established over the past year and expands it into a broader regional programme.
The initiative brings together expertise in digital infrastructure, construction, energy and large-scale project development. The partners said the collaboration is intended to accelerate the growth of digital infrastructure in the Gulf, strengthen the region's position as a global digital hub and support increasing demand for next-generation computing capacity.
Vertiv will contribute its power and thermal management portfolio, controls expertise, services and global manufacturing capabilities. The company said these systems are designed to simplify deployment and support performance in high-density computing environments.
Edge-Serve will oversee the development of hyperscale-ready campuses, from site validation to construction-ready facilities with access to power infrastructure. IRCL will act as the primary contractor, providing construction and project delivery capabilities across the markets covered by the agreement.
