Abu Dhabi’s IVF Success Rates Among Highest Globally
In 2024, 695 childbirths were recorded through IVF at specialised healthcare facilities in Abu Dhabi.
Abu Dhabi has been recognized for achieving one of the highest success rates in in vitro fertilization (IVF) globally.
The Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH) reported a success rate exceeding 51% in IVF procedures, ranking the emirate among the world’s leading destinations for fertility treatments. In 2024, 695 childbirths were recorded through IVF at specialized healthcare facilities in Abu Dhabi.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), one in six adults globally faces infertility, affecting 17.5% of the adult population. Assisted reproductive treatment (ART) technologies provide solutions for individuals and couples seeking to conceive.
There are currently 14 licensed healthcare facilities in Abu Dhabi providing assisted reproductive services, including two new facilities opened in 2024. Additionally, the emirate houses 45 maternal and delivery facilities, supported by over 2,800 healthcare professionals, including 700 specialists and consultants and 375 midwives.
