The Egyptian cabinet approved the establishment of a $ 5.5 billion green hydrogen project in the Ain Sokhna Industrial Zone. The recently licensed project will supply up to one million tonnes of green ammonia annually and is set to create over 10,600 job opportunities during both its construction and operation phases.
The project is one of a growing number of national projects encouraging and incorporating clean energy sources across Egypt, in line with a global and nationwide vision to move towards industrial eco-friendly practices.
