Cairo International Film Festival Has a New Contest for Documentaries
This is part of CIFF’s development plan to celebrate various cinematic styles and genres in the film industry.
Cairo International Film Festival has announced a new competition for documentary films for its 45th edition, which will be held at the Cairo Opera House from November 15th to the 24th.
CIFFl is one of the oldest and most prestigious film festivals in the Arab world and Africa. It acquired its unique status by being the only festival in the region registered under the category ‘’A’’ in the International Federation of Producers in Paris (FIAPF).
This announcement comes as part of the Cairo International Film Festival’s development plan to include various cinematic styles and celebrate valuable genres in the film industry.
The competition will feature two awards: the best film award and the special jury award.
Submissions across all categories for the festival’s 45th edition opened earlier this month on April 15th and will continue till August 1st. Anyone who wishes to participate in the festival can apply via its official website.
