Dedicated Schools for Gifted Students to Open Across Egypt
STEM-specialised schools are set to be established in all of Egypt’s governorates.
More schools dedicated to the education of gifted students have been slated for establishment across Egypt, with plans to build at least one specialist STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) school in each of the country’s governorates.
In collaboration with USAID, the co-educational secondary schools will aim to educate the next generations of Egypt’s best and brightest scientific minds, based on the proven model of schools like these that already exist within the country.
The first of these new schools is already slated for construction in the North Sinai Governorate in time for the 2024/2025 academic year. Beyond this location, at least eight more STEM-specialised secondary schools are set to be established in a number of governorates, improving access to high-level education across the country.
