Dr Fatma el Zahraa Receives the French Academic Palms Medallion Award
Fatma El Zahraa Ashour, a professor at Cairo University, has received a medal from France’s prestigious Order of Academic Palms for her contributions to the fields of engineering and sustainability.
Dr Fatma El Zahraa Ashour, a professor at Cairo University, has received a medal from France’s prestigious Order of Academic Palms for her contributions to the fields of engineering and sustainability.
The Order of Academic Palms - founded by Napoleon Bonaparte in the 1800s - recognizes those who have rendered eminent service to French education and have contributed actively to the prestige of French culture. Dr Ashour was granted the rank of ‘Chevalier’ for her achievements.
The accomplished professor is currently the Head of the Chemical Engineering Department in Cairo University, as well as a member of several international organisations including the School of Experts at the Mediterranean Youth Office between 2012 and 2014 as a member and president, the Mediterranean Network of Engineering Schools as a member of the board of directors.
