Egypt Launches Free Flights to Repatriate Egyptians in Lebanon

The Egyptian Embassy in Lebanon has begun operating free flights to repatriate Egyptian citizens residing in Lebanon, following the bombardment and invasion of southern Lebanon by Israel. The first flight departed from Beirut to Cairo on Sunday evening, October 6th, carrying 286 citizens.

Egyptians residing in Lebanon who wish to return but have not yet registered are encouraged to do so by contacting the embassy through their official Facebook page. Those with non-Egyptian spouses must provide a certified copy of their marriage certificate to ensure their inclusion in the upcoming flights.

This initiative follows directives from President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. The flights are part of a series of efforts undertaken by the Egyptian government to facilitate the return of its citizens, distinguishing them from other missions where repatriation has not been free of charge.
