El Alamein & Sohag Airports Gain International Accreditation
The newly issued certifications are part of Egypt’s broader initiative to elevate its tourism and travel sectors.
El Alamein International Airport and Sohag International Airport have received international accreditation for the first time. Renewed international licenses were also granted to Borg El Arab and Luxor International Airports during the same ceremony.
These certifications demonstrate that the Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority adhered to both its own requirements and the International Civil Aviation Organization’s (ICAO) standards.
Licenses for Egyptian airports are renewed periodically through inspections that confirm ongoing compliance with international standards, reinforcing their status as international travel hubs. Regular inspections by the Civil Aviation Authority ensure that Egyptian airports consistently meet global requirements.
