UAE-based environmental charity Emirates Nature-WWF has launched the second iteration of their free summer training series, ‘Nature’s Resilience’.
The series is made up of ten sessions on various topics related to nature and the environment, aimed at equipping the next generation with the knowledge to contribute to a sustainable future. The focus of the courses this year will be the unique biodiversity of the UAE, spotlighting rare and endangered species, pollinators, migratory and resident birds, and desert dwellers who play an invaluable role in the biodiverse balance of the region.
The session titles are as follows: An Introduction to Nature’s Wonders, Gecko Diaries, Life in the Sand, Journey into the World of Marine Biodiversity, Protect our Pollinators, Birds of the UAE, Nature’s Green Guardians, Freshwater Ecosystems, Rare Species of the UAE, Surviving the Wild.
‘Nature’s Resilience’ was initially organised as part of the Leaders of Change programme, one of the UAE’s most impactful ecological movements. Participants who complete seven sessions or more will earn a certificate recognising their commitment to environmental conservation in the UAE. The series is tailored for all age groups, from working professionals to students and children. Last year’s series educated approximately one thousand individuals.
Members of the public can register for the live sessions at the Leaders of Change website, and sessions will take place every Tuesday throughout the summer, between July 9th and September 10th.
