‘Global Engineer Girls’ Initiative Supports Saudi Women in STEM
The group provides female engineers with mentorship and career opportunities while tackling negative gender stereotypes.
Founded nine years ago, philanthropic organisation Global Engineer Girls has grown from inspiring the future engineers of Turkey to inspiring the women of the world. After establishing branches in Kuwait, North Macedonia and Kosovo, it is now launching a new initiative to support Saudi Arabia’s next generation of female engineers.
In collaboration with Princess Bourah bint Abdulrahman University and the Ministry of Investment, the group is hoping to close the gender gap in the Kingdom’s engineering sector by providing women with the education, mentorship and career opportunities they need to thrive in this male-dominated field.
