Hayah Karima & Authority for Hospitals Start Free Healthcare Protocol
The Hayah Karima Foundation will have offices in each General Authority unit, facilitating free healthcare provision.
The General Authority for Hospitals and the Hayah Karima Foundation have signed a memorandum of cooperation to launch a free healthcare protocol facilitated by the two organisations. The protocol aims to combine the joint efforts of the general authority and the foundation to accelerate various development initiatives, aiming to raise the health, social and economic level of citizens in governorates and villages more in need of assistance.
The protocol is intended to integrate free treatments already available through the foundation with the state’s official waiting lists for treatment of certain conditions, such as gastrointestinal and gallbladder operations. In order to facilitate the collaboration, a Hayah Karima office will be established in each unit of the general authority, further improving access for those most in need to receive the attention they need.
As well as enabling specific treatment of certain conditions, the protocol will also aim to increase community awareness of some of the most common health issues through information campaigns in some of the country’s most disadvantaged areas, where basic knowledge surrounding health and wellbeing can still be lacking.
