King Salman Academy Launches AI Arabic Language Processing Centre
The Arabic Intelligence Centre is the first specialised AI centre for automated Arabic language processing.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has launched the world’s first international centre dedicated to enhancing the Arabic language using artificial intelligence (AI) in Riyadh. The centre, named the Arabic Intelligence Centre, provides automated services and technical support for Arabic language processing.
Operated by the King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language, the centre aims to enhance Arabic content in the fields of data and artificial intelligence, and make it more competitive globally. It also supports scientific research and applications to help achieve the goals of the National Strategy for Data and Artificial Intelligence and Saudi Vision 2030, which both seek to position Saudi Arabia as a global leader in this field.
The centre is made up of five main labs, each with its own distinct function. The centre’s services also include providing technical and linguistic consultation on AI-driven Arabic language processing. It also hosts meetings, courses, and offers licences for researchers.
