Ladurée at Laysen Valley Serves Up Quintessential French Breakfast
The macarons may be the stars of the show, but Ladurée’s classic French breakfast is not to be missed.
Calling all Riyadh’s brunch lovers - we know you’re out there. And what’s more, we know that a touch of timeless French chic never goes amiss. With over 150 years of Parisian heritage, it doesn’t get much classier than Maison Ladurée at Laysen Valley - and its sole Saudi sister branch at Riyadh Park - where time-tested breakfast classics are served up on pristine crockery alongside the limelight-loving macarons for which the café-restaurant is so famous.
Known by many to be the best spot in the city for a truly classic Eggs Bénédictine - topped with spinach, smoked salmon or veal bacon - the menu is also overflowing with reams of decadent dishes not to be looked past. Ladurée’s Ham and Cheese Croissant is unlike any you’ve seen before, with oozing soft-boiled eggs sitting upon layers of buttery pastry full of melted emmental and veal ham.
On the ever-so-simple end of the spectrum lies the classic French omelette of cheese, ham, mushrooms and tomatoes, but for those who really want a bit of everything, Ladurée offers a set brunch between 10 AM and 3 PM, including eggs, pastries, granola, fruit salad, juice, a hot drink of your choice, and of course, macarons.
