Maha Abou Ouf Passes Away at 65
Today, Egypt mourns the passing of a multi-talented woman whose work impacted the worlds of music, television and film.
Actress Maha Abou Ouf has passed away at the age of 65 after a battle with cancer.
She first rose to fame in the seventies alongside her siblings - including the late Ezzat Abou Ouf - in popular band, FourM, who built a solid fan base across the Arab world. An AUC graduate and a woman of many talents, she went on to also become an actress, starring in over 40 films and TV shows, the most recent of which was the series ‘Hareer Moukhmalie’.
Figures from the world of media entertainment have taken to social media to pay tribute to the late actress, ranging from TV presenter, Isaad Younis, to popstar, Tamer Hosny.
