Manial Palace Museum Hosts Exhibition of Rescued Artefacts
A collection of 70 rescued artefacts will be displayed for the first time for the 119th anniversary of the Manial Palace.
To celebrate the 119th anniversary of the Manial Palace, also known as the Muhammad Ali Palace, a collection of 70 artefacts will be displayed for the first time at the Manial Palace Museum during a temporary exhibit until January 25th.
The pieces of this unique collection were all seized from smuggling attempts and retrieved by the Central Administration of Ports and Archaeological Units over the past ten years. All of the artefacts date back to the reign of the Muhammad Ali Pasha Dynasty during the 19th and 20th centuries. The exhibition will feature educational tours and lectures about the history of the pieces and the palace.
