National Council for Women has Launched a Hotline to Receive Complaints Ahead of Upcoming Elections

As a part of the preparations for the upcoming Senate elections, the National Council for Women has opened a new hotline during election days in order to receive complaints during the voting period between August 11th and August 12th.

The hotline, 15115, will stay up to receive all complaints and inquiries. They will be answering questions about the voting process, but will mostly work on helping women overcome obstacles they may encounter while going to cast their votes, such as catcalling or harassment, through the council’s collaboration with the National Elections Authority.

The operators that receive these complaints at the National Council for Women will follow-up with the voting staff in all governorates in order to monitor women’s participation and safety throughout the entire process.
