New Ticket Prices Set for Tourist Sites Across Egypt
The ticket price increase will go into effect this June, and will only apply to foreigners visitors.
The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities has announced new ticket prices for foreign visitors to tourist sites across Egypt.
In Cairo, tickets to see the Pyramids of Giza have increased from EGP 240 to EGP 360. The Egyptian Museum in Tahrir, the Salah Al-Din Citadel, Saqqara Necropolis, and the Tutankhamun Tomb, meanwhile, have all had their ticket prices raised from EGP 200 to EGP 300.In Luxor, the ticket price for Valley of Kings has increased from EGP 260 to EGP 400, while Karnak Temple has increased from EGP 220 to EGP 300. In Aswan, the Philae temple’s ticket price was raised from EGP 200 to EGP 300 while the Abu Simbel Temple has increased from EGP 260 to EGP 400.
The ticket price of Alexandria’s Qaitbay Citadel has increased from EGP 60 to EGP 100.
