Over 500 EV Charging Stations to Be Installed in UAE by End of 2025
The Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure also plans to boost the country’s renewable energy capacity to over 14 GW by 2030.
The Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure plans to install more than 500 electric vehicle (EV) charging stations across the UAE by the end of 2025. The ministry, which owns 50% of UAEV - a network of fast-charging EV stations - installed over 100 EV chargers across the country in 2024.
The initiative aims to meet the rising demand for EVs, and is being developed in collaboration with the private sector and local authorities to ensure a strong charging infrastructure. The project aligns with the UAE’s broader sustainability goals and clean energy commitments. Alongside the EV expansion, the ministry also plans to boost the country’s renewable energy capacity to over 14 gigawatts by 2030.
