Red Bull Four 2 Score Tournament Will Be Hosted in Saudi Arabia
The ‘power football’ tournament is returning for its second edition in the Kingdom, in preparation for a World Final in Germany.
The Red Bull Four 2 Score Championship is returning to Saudi Arabia for its second edition this year. Held in partnership with Red Bull Mobile, Subway and the Kingdom’s Ministry of Sports and Sports for All Federation, the tournament will take place between May 24th and June 7th.
The tournament will feature local qualifiers across three Saudi cities, before culminating in a national final. Teams of four players will be competing for an all-inclusive trip to the world final. The qualifiers will be organised into five stages in Riyadh and Jeddah, and the national final is scheduled to take place in Abha.
The rules and concept of the tournament are designed to showcase Red Bull’s ‘power football’ philosophy. Goals are doubled in the first and final sixty seconds of the ten-minute matches. There are no breaks or goalies; scoring at critical moments is paramount. All male and female players aged between 16 and 35 are eligible to participate.
The two winning teams from the male and female categories will represent the Kingdom alongside other international teams at the world final in Germany, hosted by RB Leipzig.
