SODIC Brings World Class Eateries & Retail to New Cairo
Located on Road 90 next to the American University in Cairo, EDNC will feature specialty restaurants and entertainment outlets.
Real estate developers SODIC is set to open its newest retail destination, Eastown District New Cairo (EDNC), in September 2024.
Located on Road 90 next to the American University in Cairo, EDNC will feature specialty restaurants, artisan delicacies, innovative local concepts, and vibrant entertainment outlets. EDNC will also host Egypt's first Nobu restaurant and hotel, which is scheduled to open in early 2025.
“We are thrilled to announce the grand opening of Eastown District New Cairo in September 2024. EDNC is SODIC’s flagship retail destination in East Cairo, the second component of the world-class commercial complex strategically located in the heart of New Cairo,” Ayman Amer, General Manager at SODIC, tells CairoScene. “We are excited to be bringing exciting new retail concepts to the market through collaborations with world-renowned operators that promise to deliver a one-of-a-kind experience."
EDNC's culinary partners include OLA’s by Brunch & Cake, Bascota, Izmir Saraya, Canelé patisserie, CLAY, Shogun Japanese dining, Ahwet Mehanna, Coco, and 3 Diner. Coffee enthusiasts can look forward to Muchido, offering a blend of American donuts and Japanese mochi, alongside Coffee Fellows and Mulliri. Nightlife options will include Gigi Burger Bar and The Grand Theatre, with additional services from Seoudi market, Mohamed El Sagheer, and Dr. M pharmacy.
The centre will also house SODIC's new Experience Centre, providing interactive experiences. Designed with modern architecture, art, greenery, and sustainability in mind, EDNC spans 14,765 sqm of GLA, featuring a vibrant promenade and an iconic park with various lifestyle and entertainment venues.
