Saint-Gobain Unveils Glass Factory & Solar Station in Sokhna

French multinational corporation Saint-Gobain has officially inaugurated its third factory for glass production in Sokhna within the Suez Canal Economic Zone, accompanied by the introduction of a cutting-edge solar energy production station.
Spanning 200,000 square metres and representing an investment of EUR 175 million, the new glass production facility underscores Saint-Gobain's commitment to advancing manufacturing capabilities in Sokhna. With a focus on innovation and sustainability, the factory is poised to contribute to local economic growth and employment opportunities.
Complementing the glass production facility, the inauguration also heralded the introduction of a solar energy production station. Designed to generate 10 megawatts of electricity, the station aligns with Saint-Gobain's environmental objectives, aiming to reduce carbon emissions by approximately 6,000 tons.
