Saudi Arabia’s General Aviation Sector Will Grow to USD 2 Billion
The nation's General Aviation roadmap supports operators of business jets, charters, private, and corporate jet travel.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has announced a significant expansion in its general aviation sector, aiming to increase its contribution to the GDP to USD 2 billion by 2030. The nation's General Aviation roadmap supports operators of business jets, charters, private, and corporate jet travel. This strategic move follows the revision of Saudi Arabia's tourism target in October 2023, aiming to attract 150 million visitors by 2030, up from the initial goal of 100 million.
The roadmap, set to be unveiled at the Future Aviation Forum (FAF), will facilitate operators and service providers through strategic infrastructure investments and regulatory enhancements. By building an environment which supports aviation growth, the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) aims to cement Saudi Arabia's position in the global aviation landscape.
