Saudi’s Mashael Al-Ayed Breaks Personal Record in 200m Freestyle
The Kingdom’s first female Olympic swimmer came in 6th in the race, breaking her personal record.

Mashael Al-Ayed, Saudi Arabia’s first female Olympic swimmer, finished sixth in the 200m freestyle race in the 2024 Paris Olympics. The 17-year-old completed the race with a time of 2:19.61, setting a new personal record.
Al-Ayed participated in the Olympics as part of a 10-athlete team from the Kingdom. At this achievement, the athlete’s participation in the 2024 Olympics comes to an end.
