Suez Canal Cuts Transit Fees by 50% for Yachts to Boost Tourism
The fee reduction will be effective from the beginning of July and continue through to the end of October.
The Suez Canal Authority (SCA) has announced a 50% reduction in transit fees for all yachts under 300 tons. This discount is designed to align with and support the upcoming Egypt International Yacht Exhibition, set to take place from July 11th to the 14th at Marsa El Alamein on the North Coast.
The fee reduction will be effective from the beginning of July and continue through to the end of October, incentivising yacht owners and operators to navigate through the Suez Canal. This initiative is not only a boost for the yacht tourism sector but also reinforces the importance of the Suez Canal as a vital maritime route.
The Marassi Yacht Club in Marassi Village, located on the North Coast, will be the venue for the sixth session of the Egypt International Boat Show, which will run on the same dates as the International Yacht Exhibition. The Egypt International Boat Show will bring together a diverse range of exhibitors and visitors, fostering global connections and business opportunities within the maritime sector.
