Suez Canal Economic Zone to Transform Into Green Hydrogen Hub
Over time, total investments into SCZONE are expected to reach anywhere between USD 20 billion and USD 30 billion.

The Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE) is looking to become a major hub for green hydrogen, after the SCZONE received investments well above USD 10 billion.
Construction workers at SCZONE are currently preparing ports and building infrastructure to ensure all its facilities are provided for.
A memorandum of understanding has been signed between SCZONE and H2-Industries to build a facility in east Port Said, which will turn waste into hydrogen for USD 4 billion. It will be able to produce 300,000 tonnes of green hydrogen per year.
Over time, total investments into SCZONE are expected to reach anywhere between USD 20 billion and USD 30 billion.
