This ‘Tour de France’ Cycling Event is Making Its MENA Debut in Egypt

L'Étape du Tour de France, one of the biggest cycling events in the world, is finally making its MENA region debut in Egypt’s coastal city of Sharm El Sheikh this September. For the first time ever in the Middle East, amateur cyclists will have the exhilarating opportunity to participate in this prestigious event.

L'Étape Egypt will feature three races, each categorised based on distance. The first race will cover a delightful six kilometres, offering a chance for all ages to join in on the fun on September 21st. The second race will cover an impressive 170 kilometres, open to participants aged 18 and above, while the third race spans 40 kilometres and welcomes riders aged 15 and above, both of which will take place on September 22nd.

The 170-kilometre race, which will take place on September 22nd, will start from the renowned Sharm El Sheikh Sheraton Hotel, will take participants on a thrilling round trip to Dahab, exploring Egypt’s stunning landscape along the Red Sea coast.
