UAE Announces 9-Day Eid Al Fitr Break for Public Sector Employees
Public sector employees are getting a week-long holiday from Monday, April 8th until Sunday, April 14th.

With Eid Al Fitr on the horizon, the government of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) announced a week-long holiday for public sector employees from Monday, April 8th until Sunday, April 14th. For employees who have a holiday on Saturday and Sunday, this means a nine-day break, counting Saturday, April 6th, and Sunday, April 7th. Regular working hours will resume on Monday, April 15th.
The Emirates Astronomical Society forecasts Eid to begin on April 10th - but irrespective of the moon sighting, the holiday will officially begin on April 8th.
